Dear Friends,
Thank you for your donations, support, concerns and inquiries
regarding World Peace & Prayer Day 2004 Japan. We very much
feel that the good thoughts of each and every one of you is contributing
to the creation of true peace.
World Peace & Prayer Day is a gathering for prayer.
We believe that it is an opportunity for us to reconnect with
Mother Earth, find our true nature, and look into ourselves in
relation to this great flow of life in which we exist.
The purpose of this gathering is not about criticism. We understand
that looking deep within ourselves, and to care for all beings
including ourselves is what our prayer is about.
In this day and age, many different people have concerns for
different issues, all in the hopes that things will unfold for
the better. Under such circumstance, it is very difficult to make
superficial judgments on what is good and what is bad, what is
better and what is worse. This is because such judgments can only
be made based on different values.
Because we cannot make such judgments, World Peace & Prayer
Day calls to simply pray for the healing of Mother Earth, and all
beings including ourselves.
We have decided to focus our efforts to hold a gathering that
carries this prayer here in Japan, together with Chief Arvol Looking
Horse, who has dedicated his life for prayer.
It has been over a year since the WPPD 2004 JAPAN Office began
its operation, and we have always worked under this common value.
We are continuing to share this value with people who we meet.
The preparation for WPPD 2004 JAPAN is a process in which we
continue to share this worldview and learn from one another, through
a relationship based on trust. We are certain that World Peace & Prayer
Day 2004 JAPAN will be a great gathering.
This comes from our confidence in the powers that guides us.
We are grateful that we can prepare for this gathering with all
people who we are related to
Let us create a gathering that expresses the true spirit of prayer.
Let us make all preparations with prayer.
For all our relations,
